States: Game 4 vs Mechanicsville

Bridgewater lost it's first game of the All-Star season in the winners bracket championship 8 to 2 against Mechanicsville. Mechanicsville pitcher Jesse Gentry kept Bridgewater off balance allowing only 5 hits and 2 runs. Hannah Cook picked up her first loss on the mound with Mechanicsville scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the second on an error, 3 hits and two sacrifice bunts. Bridgewater scored a run in the 5th when Brittany Corbin reached on a walk followed by an RBI hit for Hannah Cook. Bridgewater scored their second run in the 6th inning after a 2 out hit by Ocean Burriss followed by a RBI double from Peggie Michael. Mechanicsville had 11 hits in the game. Offensively, Bridgewater's Hannah Cook went 2 for 2, followed by Burriss, Michael, and Alli Bosley all 1 for 3. Bridgewater will play in the losers bracket tomorrow at 10 am in a re-match against Matthews in a game that Bridgewater won 3 to 2 in 6
